Living in sunny San Diego we love spending our summers outdoors enjoying the beautiful weather. As the days start to get shorter and weather gets cooler, we spend more time indoors and sometimes we forget to use our sunscreen. But the fall is no time to get idle in our sunscreen application. Every time we step outside, rain or shine, harmful UV rays still effect our skin. The sun is the number one culprit in premature skin aging and skin cancers.

Getting in to a daily routine is best the way I have found to stay on top of protecting and caring for my skin. I know we all want healthy and beautiful skin, right?

For a fast routine in the morning I recommended these 3 simple steps:
  1. Wash your face with a cleanser
  2. Use a toner
  3. Apply a moisturizing sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF 30.
(At least 15 minutes before you step outdoors)

*A Broad Spectrum sunscreen protects you from both UVB and UVA rays.

*Always check your sunscreen expiration date.

*Don’t forget to protect your lips with a lip balm that has an SPF 30.

*Be sure to pack a travel size sunscreen if you are going to spend any additional time outdoors because a reapplication will be necessary every 2 hours for maximum protection.
