Pilates Pilates has the stretching benefits of a yoga class and the
strengthening of a gym routine. This type of exercise is beneficial to
your mind and body, leaving you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and
with a greater sense of well being when you're done. Pilates is a safe,
no-impact way to get exercise, build strength, and stretch all of the
major muscles groups in a logical sequence.
When embarking on
the new program, try to commit yourself to it for two to three times a
week. The first two weeks will be the toughest, but quickly you will
see and feel the difference that Pilates makes to your body. Remember
that it took years to create the body you have today so it won't change
overnight. Stick to it; you will be glad you did.
