 Quinoa Three Ways

Cultivated in the Andes for over 5,000 years, quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah) has been called "the gold of the Incas." Technically quinoa not a grain but a seed, and is used in virtually the same ways as other whole grains. The popularity of quinoa is growing steadily as people discover its pleasant nutty taste and super food qualities. As a complete protein source it is not only high in iron, magnesium, and fiber, it is one of the healthiest pantry staples and one that is incredibly easy and quick to cook.

This will be the first of a series of monthly cooking classes to come.
