Skin Care Tips For Fall Season
November 7th 2010 -

Fall Skin Care Tips

It’s important not to neglect your skin during this shift from warm to cool weather; exfoliation, moisturization, and protection (just like during the summer) should be supplemented to avoid dryness and other skin problems like the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, flaking and irritation. Over exposure of the skin during the summer months means that your skin is dehydrated.

Exfoliating allows you to remove the dead sun-damaged skin cells and prep your skin for the restorative effects of the moisturizer.

Hydration is just as important in the fall months as it is in the summer, and although the sun is not as harsh and strong, sunscreen should still be apart of your daily skin-care regime. And don’t stop at your face! The body also suffers during the cooler months.

This autumn, you should repair any sun damage you accumulated over the summer and prepare your skin for the season with a healing facial and peel. Here at Envision, we offer a wide variety of peels (from the milder enzyme peels to the more aggressive salicylic and lactic peels) as well as microdermabrasion and body treatments to accommodate your skin-care needs during the changing of the seasons.

Peels offer many benefits to damaged, acne-prone, or aging skin. They exfoliate and remove dead skin, stimulate and promote new cell growth, improve skin tone and texture, diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and redness, as well as reduce the presence of skin toxins, all while simultaneously bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin.

Microdermabrasion freshens the skin by jump-starting the exfoliation process. By mixing gentle abrasion techniques with continuous suction, microdermabrasion blasts away the dead, outer-layer of skin. For tougher skin-care issues like wrinkles or hyper-pigmentation, peels and microdermabrasion can be combined to increase the efficiency or intensity of the treatments.

This season, indulge in our pumpkin enzyme facial, a customized body treatment, or even an antioxidant peel to kick-start the holidays.
