Facial rejuvenation works by inserting fine needles that are specifically located at acupuncture points on the face, neck and body along energy channels called meridians. How many treatments:

The number of treatments will vary depending on each individual’s constitution.  After the first consultation and treatment, the practitioner will evaluate the patient response and recommend a treatment plan. We recommend a minimum series of 6 treatments over a 4-week period with a maximum of 12 treatments over a 8-week period. The treatment plan will vary depending on constitution, age, stress level and lifestyle habits.

Expectations:

After the first treatment, there is increased of color to the complexion, decrease of fine lines and a toning of muscles. After a few treatments the patient looks more rested and deep wrinkles start to lessen. A significant change in appearance can be seen following the 4th and 6th treatments. There is significant change in clarity of the face, a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles, smoother and softer skin and less puffiness around the eyes. After the treatments plan the patient should look and feel years younger. The results can vary depending on the individual’s lifestyle choices (sleep, smoking, alcohol intake, exercising diet, sun etc).  Therefore having good lifestyle choices will help sustain the treatments for longer period of time. To maintain the treatments it is recommended to have a monthly maintenance treatments to keep the effects.

Contraindication:

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is contraindicated for migraines headaches, some pituitary disorders, diabetes mellitus, heart disorders, bleeding disorders, high blood pressure, patients who are taking warfarin or coumadin. Also other contraindications are individuals who have a pacemaker and bruise easily. Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture should not be done during pregnancy, an allergic reaction, acute herpes outbreak and or a cold or flu.
