 An overwhelming body of scientific research shows that meditation, also known as mindfulness, is incredibly good for your physical and mental health.

A regular meditation practice is good for your heart, immune system, and increases your resistance to inflammation. It improves your ability to heal from illness. It also strengthens your attention span, reduces loneliness, enhances happiness, and alleviates anxiety, depression, and stress. Recent studies show it may also delay the aging process.

Meditation with practice, is simple. It is a practice of turning your attention to a single point of reference. It can involve focusing on breath, body sensations, a word, a phrase, the flicker of a candle, or the rhythm of a drum. Basically meditation means redirecting your attention away from distracting thoughts, and focusing on the present moment.  It’s not about forcing the mind to be absolutely still. Rather, it’s a practice of letting go of resistance of whatever may arise: doubt, worry, fear, uncertainty, or any of the many endless distractions of the ego that rob us of happiness.

Come join us for Meditation. Classes will be held in our Private Wellness Center every Wednesday at 6:15 PM. You can sign up online or give us a call (619) 229-9695, and we would be happy to help you to register. Class size is limited to 20 so guests so registration is necessary to reserve you a space in the class.
Fees: sessions are available as a drop in rate,  or in series of 5, and 10 for greater savings and commitment.
